Police said a 21-year-old man has been arrested following a shooting of another man in the Fordham Manor section of The Bronx on Saturday night, May 21.

The incident took place at around 11.21 p.m. at East 194th Street and Marion Avenue. A police official told Norwood News, “Looks like the victim is shot in the arm. He is a 31-year-old male victim, was transported to St. Barnabas by EMS in stable condition.

Asked about the circumstances of the incident, the police official said, “So, it looks like the victim was in the crowd. The individual who’s been arrested, fired into the crowd striking the victim.”

Police said Alain Yameogo, a 21-year-old man with an address at East 21st Street from the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, was arrested and charged with attempted murder, assault, and reckless endangerment. The police official added, “He was found to be in possession of a Glock firearm [handgun] with an extended magazine.”

A magazine is a holder for cartridges that are fed into the chamber of the gun. They are usually, but not always, detachable in handguns.

A person arrested and charged with a crime is deemed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
