The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the people seen in the attached photo who they say are sought in connection with a shooting that occurred in Fordham Heights.
Police said that on Saturday, Aug. 12, at around 8.10 p.m., two unidentified people approached a 14-year-old victim while he was playing basketball at the intersection of East 181st Street and Walton Avenue. They said, “One of the individuals displayed a firearm and proceeded to discharge it multiple times, striking the victim in the lower back and right leg.”
They said both assailants then fled the location southbound on Jerome Avenue on foot towards the 183rd Street subway station, which serves the 4 train. They said EMS responded and transported the victim to New York- Presbyterian/Weil Cornell Medical Center in stable condition.
The first individual sought is described as male, has a light complexion, is between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet, 8 inches tall, has a slim build, and was last seen wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt, light-colored pants, and a blue baseball cap.
The second assailant was described as male, has a light complexion, his height was unknown, he also had a slim build, and was last seen wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black and yellow sneakers and had his hair tied in a ponytail.
