Fordham Heights: Residential Fire Causes No Injuries

No injuries were reported following a fire in Fordham Heights on Friday, May 19, the FDNY said.

 

A spokesperson for the fire department said they received a call at 10.48 p.m. on Friday for reports of smoke/a fire at 2357 Walton Avenue.

The spokesperson said the fire broke out on the first floor of 5-story, multiple dwelling and was brought under control at 11:19 p.m.

There were no injuries according to the FDNY.

Asked if the cause of the blaze was established, the FDNY spokesperson said the cause was not yet known.
