The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person and vehicle seen in the attached media. Police said the person is wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred in Fordham Heights.
Police said that on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at approximately 12.35 p.m., the victim, an 18-year-old woman, was walking in front of 2477 Grand Concourse when she was approached by a person on a moped. A police spokesperson said, “The individual forcibly removed the victim’s chain from her neck before fleeing. The individual was last seen traveling eastbound on East 188 Street on the moped.”
Police said the victim suffered minor injuries and was removed to St. Barnabas Hospital. They said the person sought is described as male, has a medium complexion, and was last seen wearing a black mask, a black jacket and black pants.
Police said the two-wheeled vehicle was described as black and had a distinct metal rack on the rear.
