Fordham Heights: One Sought following Robbery of Woman 36

NYPD officials are appealing to the public for help locating the person seen in the attached photo and video who they say is sought in connection to a robbery that occurred in Fordham Heights.

 

Police said that on Friday, June 23, at around 1.50 p.m., a 36-year-old female victim was walking in front of 2450 Grand Concourse when an a person approached her, attempted to steal her purse and threatened to hit her. “A brief struggle ensued, and the individual was able to remove the victim’s debit card, and forcibly removed a chain from her neck,” police said.

 

Cops said the assailant later fled the location on foot, heading northbound on the Grand Concourse. They said the victim, who sustained scratches to her chest and neck, refused medical attention at the scene.

The assailant is described as male, has a medium complexion, a slim build, and was last seen wearing a beige baseball hat, a black face mask, a black sweatshirt, a black t-shirt, blue jean shorts and black sneakers.

 

The attached photos shows the assailant both prior to and after the incident, police said.
