Fordham Heights: FDNY Investigate Cause of House Fire after Five are Evaluated for Injury by EMS

There were no fatalities reported following a residential fire in Fordham Heights on Friday, though five people were evaluated by EMS.

 

According to a spokesperson from the FDNY, the department received a call alerting them to the incident at 5.33 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 8, at 386 East 184th Street between Webster Avenue and Marion Avenue for reports of a fire on the first floor in the vicinity of a li-ion battery.

They said 12 fire units comprising 60 fire department and EMS personnel responded to location of the residential two-story private dwelling (18×50). They added that all patients refused medical attention by EMS and the fire was placed under control at 6.11 a.m.

 

The burned-out e-bike was later seen in the vicinity of the building on Friday.

 

They said the cause remains under investigation.
