Building applications have been filed with DOB for a new, 7-story, residential building at 2361 Morris Avenue in the Fordham Heights section of The Bronx, as reported by YIMBY.

Located at the intersection of East 184th Street and Morris Avenue, the corner lot is a 6-minute walk from the 183rd Street subway station, serviced by the 4 train. Mendy Tessler is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 70-foot-tall development will yield 23,472 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 45 residential units, most likely rentals, based on the average unit scope of 521 square feet, according to YIMBY. The steel-based structure will also have a 30-foot-long rear yard but no accessory parking.

George Cambourakis of Structural Engineering Technologies is listed as the applicant of record.

Demolition permits were filed in May 2021 for the two-story home, located on the site. An estimated completion date for the new structure has not yet been announced.
