UPDATE Fordham Heights: 34-Year-Old Man Fatally Stabbed, 2nd Man Stabbed in Torso & Hospitalized

A 34-year-old man died following a fatal stabbing in Fordham Heights on Sunday afternoon, police said.

 

Police said that on Sunday, July 14, at around 3.31 p.m., officers from the 46th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding two men who had been stabbed in the vicinity of 2155 Grand Concourse.

 

“Upon arrival, officers observed a 34-year-old male with a stab wound to the chest and a 31-year-old male with a stab wound to his torso,” a police spokesperson said. “EMS responded and transported both men to St. Barnabas Hospital where the 34-year-old male was later pronounced deceased. The investigation remains ongoing.”

 

Police said the deceased was later identified as Richard Vasquez, of the Grand Concourse in Fordham Heights.
