This is a developing story.
Norwood News received unofficial, initial reports of a fire in a multiple dwelling at 3395 Reservoir Oval West in the Norwood section of the Bronx on Tuesday. According to Citizen’s App users, the fire was reported at around 10.25 p.m., April 27, and firefighters were recorded at the scene.
The FDNY released an alert on Twitter at 10.40 p.m. confirming, “Bronx All Hands Box 3577, 3395 Reservoir Oval W, Multiple Dwelling “A” Fire.”

At 11.20 p.m., it was reported by the FDNY, via Twitter, that the fire had been brought under control.
Around the same time, Citizen App users reported that “officers” said no one had been injured. Norwood News has reached out by phone and email to the FDNY for validation that this is the case, as well as for an official report regarding the incident.

The agency later confirmed, via email, “3395 Reservoir Oval West at 22:18 hrs, for fire in the walls of the 3rd floor of a 6 story multiple dwelling. Under control at 23:19 hrs.”
Representatives did not immediately confirm if there had been any injuries nor what the cause of the fire had been. In the early hours of Wednesday, April 28, the agency provided a further update, and confirmed that, indeed, there had been no injuries reported, and the cause of the fire was under investigation by fire marshals.
