The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached video and photo who is sought in connection with a reckless, daylight shooting that occurred in Edenwald.
On Monday, April 11, at approximately 5.47 p.m., police responded to a Shotspotter activation in front of 1182 East 223rd Street. Upon investigation, it was determined that an unknown person in possession of a gun fired several rounds on a residential street near 1143 East 223rd Street. After the shooting, the person fled toward Eastchester Road. No injuries or property damage were reported.
The individual is described as male, is around 30 years old, is 6 feet, 2 inches tall, has a dark complexion, a thin build, and black hair. He was last seen wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt with a black vest, black pants and black sneakers.
A surveillance video and a photo showing the person prior to the incident was obtained from 3981 Laconia Avenue and is attached.
