Edenwald: Police Release Video of Suspects following Fatal Shooting of 21-Year-Old Man

Following the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old man in north Edenwald in January, police have shared a video and some photos of a vehicle and some people they are attempting to identify in connection to the incident. They are appealing to the public for help with the investigation.

 

On Wednesday, Jan. 18, at around 8.51 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who was shot behind 4057 Pratt Avenue. A police spokesperson said, “Upon arrival, officers observed a 21-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his chest. EMS responded and transported the aided male to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced deceased.”

There were no immediate arrests and the investigation remained ongoing. The deceased was identified as Nicholas Lewis of Pratt Avenue in Edenwald.

 

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, on Saturday, Feb. 11, the NYPD appealed to the public for help identifying the people and vehicle seen in the attached video and photos in the context of the incident.

 

A police spokesperson said the suspect is seen exiting a vehicle that was parked in front of 4001 Pratt Avenue, also in Edenwald, prior to the incident.
