Eastchester: Man Sought for Armed Assault on MTA Employee

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached video and photos who they said is sought in connection with an assault that occurred in Eastchester.

THE NYPD IS asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in this photo who they said is sought in connection with an assault that occurred at Dyre Avenue subway station in Eastchester, which serves the 5 train, on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at around midnight.

Police said that on Tuesday, April 8, at around midnight, a 37-year-old male, MTA employee was on-duty at the Dyre Avenue subway station when an unidentified person approached him and struck him with a razor scooter [a two-wheel, narrow scooter].

“The victim suffered pain and swelling to his hand and face,” a police spokesperson said. “EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital in stable condition.”
