A 15-year-old boy was robbed at gunpoint at Gun Hill Road subway station, serving the number 5 subway line in the East Bronx.
Officers from the 49th Precinct are asking for the public’s help locating three people seen in the attached photos who are sought for questioning in connection to the incident which occurred in the Laconia section of The Bronx, northwest of Pelham Gardens.
A police spokesperson said, “On Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022, at approximately 15.40 hours [3.40 p.m.], the victim, a 15-year-old male, was aboard the southbound 5 subway at the Sexton Place and East Gun Hill Road subway station, when three unidentified male individuals approached the victim and demanded his property, while displaying a firearm.”
They said the victim complied and the three fled “topside” to parts unknown with the victim’s Apple iPhone 11 and Air pods, valued at approximately $1,060. “There were no [physical] injuries reported as a result of this incident,” the spokesperson said.
The three people sought for questioning in connection with the incident are described as male, estimated to be aged between 18 and 20 years of age, each has a thin build and dark skin complexions. The first suspect was wearing a gray, hooded sweater with black lettering on the back, black Adidas pants, and multi-colored Michael Jordan sneakers.
The second was was wearing a blue, hooded sweater, light-colored denim pants, and white Nike sneakers, and the third was wearing a gray, hooded sweater, black pants with white lettering on the right leg (with the words “ICE CREAM”), multi-color sneakers, and a black face mask covering his mouth.
