It’s Primary Day! If you’re not sure where to go, we’ve compiled this handy voter guide with answers to when, how and where to make your vote count.
When do I vote?
Primary Day is Tuesday, June 26. The most competitive race is the 13th Congressional District, which includes almost the entire Norwood News coverage area, including Norwood, Bedford Park, Fordham, Kingsbridge Heights and University Heights.
Where do I vote?
The Board of Elections is still determining polling sites, but should have everything set soon.
- Find out your polling site is by visiting vote.nyc.ny.us. Click on “poll site locator and sample ballot.” Type in your house number, street address and borough. Click “Search.”
- Contact the Bronx County Board of Elections at (718) 299-9017 or the Voter Phone Bank at 1 (866) VOTE-NYC.
- E-mail your home address to vote@boe.nyc.ny.us and put your home borough in the subject line. They will respond with an e-mail indicating where your polling place is located.
*Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on June 26
Can I Still Register to Vote?
No. To be eligible to vote in the June 26 primary, you needed to register by June 1. But don’t let that stop you. There are several local and state elections coming up this fall and there is plenty of time to register for those primary and general elections (as well as the Congressional general elections).
