Crime Watch: Police Seek Bedford Park Robbery Suspect

Police are asking for help in locating and identifying a suspect who is wanted in connection with a November robbery in Bedford Park.

On Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012 at around 6:40 p.m., on 203rd Street, between Valentine and Briggs avenues, the suspect followed the victim, a 64-year-old woman, into the elevator. When she exited, he assaulted the victim and forcefully removed the woman’s purse from her shoulder, pushed her to the ground and fled. The victim sustained bruises and scrapes on her knees during the attack.

The suspect (pictured) is described as a black male in his mid-20s, between 5-feet-10-inches and six feet tall and weighing between 200 and 250 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, grey sweatpants and black sneakers.
