Bank Robbery
A bank robbery suspect is on the run after passing a note to a teller, getting the money, and fleeing in a motorized handicap scooter in Fordham. Police say the incident happened at the Banco Popular at 301 E. Fordham Road on Aug. 2 just before 3 p.m. The suspect passed a note to the teller demanding money. The teller did what they were told and gave an undisclosed amount of money to the thief, who sped off in the scooter heading westbound on East Fordham Road. The suspect is described as black, 50 to 55 years old, about 5’ 6” tall and last seen wearing a white tank top, blue shorts and black sandals.
Credit Card Thief
A brazen credit card thief has been on the run for months, and police in the 52nd Precinct want to know where he is. Police say one suspected thief entered a classroom at Lehman College on May 12 at 12:45 p.m., grabbing a purse that didn’t belong to him. Police say the thief removed a wallet containing credit cards, and two Samsung cellphones. After a police investigation, cops dug up video showing a man (pictured below) using one of the victim’s credit cards to buy gas at a station at 2290 Boston Rd. The unidentified man was driving a BMW X5.
Knife Fight
Two men are on the run for allegedly stabbing three men in a nighttime knife fight that sent all three to the hospital. Police say the incident happened at 3063 Hull Ave. in Norwood on June 28 around 10:30 p.m. The pair had gotten into an argument with the three men, causing the perps to stab a 24-year-old man in the torso, cuts to a 32-year-old man’s right arm, and lacerations to another 32-year-old man’s right hand. The victims were rushed to Jacobi Hospital and were listed in serious but stable condition. The two suspect quickly fled the scene.
The first individual is a male, Hispanic, 35 to 45 years old, bald; last seen wearing a pink shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.
The second individual (pictured left) is a male, Hispanic, 25 to 30 years old; last seen wearing a black hooded sweater, black shorts and black sneakers.
Independence Day Brawl
Cops are looking for two men who seriously beat up a 20-year-old man on Independence Day on Decatur Avenue.
The victim got into an argument with the pair that escalated into a brawl. One of the suspects, a 40-year-old man, put the victim into a chokehold while the 44-year-old man pummeled the victim, fracturing his right eye and skull, cops said. The victim was rushed to Jacobi Hospital for treatment. Meantime, the two suspect fled.
