Crime File: Robberies in Norwood and Kingsbridge

Attempted Theft 
Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who tried to steal a man’s wallet in a Kingsbridge Heights bodega. Police say it happened at 111 E. Kingsbridge Rd. on April 30 just after 10 p.m.

Video surveillance the would-be thief standing at the front of the store ready to buy something, when the would-be thief lunges for the man’s wallet, and immediately taking off. The would-be victim chased him out the store. The wallet was soon recovered. The suspect is described as black, tall, last seen wearing a white hoodie with a black cap.

Apartment Robbery
The NYPD is looking for two men wanted for beating and robbing a man entering his apartment in Norwood. The men forced the victim into his apartment near East Gun Hill Road and King’s College Place, beating him with a baseball bat, and stealing $300 before fleeing. The victim was taken to an area hospital with bruised ribs, a shattered elbow, and a cut to his right eye.

One suspect (pictured left) is described as black, in his mid to late twenties, with dread-locked hair and a southern accent. The second suspect is described as black, standing at  6’ 5” with dreadlocks, in his mid to late twenties.
