The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photo below who they say is wanted for questioning in connection with an assault on an MTA conductor at 167th Street subway station.
Police said that on Wednesday, March 6, at around 11.35 a.m., police were alerted to an assault at the 167th Street station in the Concourse section. They said the victim, a 38-year-old female, on-duty MTA employee, was on the 4 train, traveling southbound, when a male approached and struck her in the face with a glass bottle.
They said the victim sustained a minor injury to the right side of her face, and the suspect was last seen fleeing the location on foot. They said the victim was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals /Lincoln Hospital in stable condition.
The incident follows a recent stabbing at the same station, as reported, on Friday, March 1, when a 60-year-old male subway rider survived the stabbing to the abdomen aboard a subway. The stabbing took place around two weeks after an as-yet unidentified human leg was discovered near the same 167th Street subway station on the elevated track tracks on Saturday, Feb. 17.
