Claremont Park Shooting: One Dead, Three Injured, including an 11-Year-Old Boy

A 22-year-old man is dead, and three others are wounded, including an 11-year-old boy following a shooting in Claremont Park.

 

Police responded to a call on Saturday, Sept. 18, at approximately 11.13 p.m. regarding an assault that occurred inside Claremont Park in the vicinity of Teller Avenue and Mount Eden Parkway, located in the 44th precinct.

 

Upon arrival, officers determined that the 11-year-old boy (victim 1) was shot in the shoulder, a 24-year-old woman (victim 2) was shot two times in the torso, the 22-year-old man (victim 3) was shot in the torso, and second, 22-year-old man (victim 4) was shot in the leg.

 

EMS responded and transported victim 1, in stable condition, and victim 2, in critical condition, to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln.

 

Victim 3 was transported by EMS to BronxCare Health System where he was pronounced deceased. Victim 4 walked into NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, and is currently in stable condition. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. The name of the deceased is being withheld, pending family notification.
