New Dinowitz Bill Aims to Prevent Out-of-State Drivers from Skirting Prosecution for Reckless Driving

States hoping to enable so-called “SCOFFLAW” drivers to run a red light or speed through the streets of New York City may want to reconsider their actions. Inspector General Publishes Investigative Report & Makes Public Letters Sent to Govt. Agencies & Officials

The Offices of the NYS Inspector General published its latest investigative report on Friday, Aug. 19, as well as 21 previously non-public letters arising from investigations undertaken by the office. Council Passes Historic Maternal Health Package to Help Address Racial Disparities

For the first time in the history of the City Council, on Thursday, Aug. 11, the legislative body passed a package of legislation addressing significant disparities in maternal health, mortality, and morbidity.
