Elections 2023: Irene Estrada Lays Out her Case for her City Council Run in District 13

Metro North Schedule Changes for Week April 3-7

Hudson Line train service changes will be in effect the week of April 3-7, according to Metro North officials, as crews repair track and switch damage near Beacon caused by a freight train with mechanical problems.   All inbound Poughkeepsie and Beacon trains will depart between 3 and 5 minutes earlier than the current timetable to allow for extra time to pass the trackwork area, according to Metro North officials who added that adjusted schedules and additional information will be added to mta.info and the TrainTime app shortly.   Inbound A.M. Yankees Fans Travel on Nostalgia Train Ride to Yankee Stadium for Opening Day

Hundreds of New York Yankees fans joined New York City Transit (NYCT) president, Richard Davey, on the New York Transit Museum’s 1917 IRT Lo-V Nostalgia train and the “Train of Many Colors” for the Yankees home opener on Thursday, March 30 at Yankee Stadium, as MTA and NYCT officials used the occasion to highlight new service options for fans to Yankee Stadium for all of the season’s home games.    Fans boarded the train at Grand Central for an express train unlike any other. Phipps Neighborhoods Nonprofit & Partners Co-Host Bronx Job Fair March 30

New Metro North Schedules Start Sunday, March 26

New Metro North schedules start on the Harlem, Hudson and New Haven Lines Sunday, March 26, according to the MTA.   Officials said there will be minor adjustments to weekday service on all lines. Some trains continue to temporarily bypass Stamford on the New Haven Line.   From March 26 to June 10, the weekend service on the Hudson line will be hourly to accommodate what were described as much needed repairs to the infrastructure. Bedford Park: Pedestrian Struck in Fatal Road Accident

A man has died following a road accident in Bedford Park, police said.   The incident occurred on Thursday, March 23, at around 9.43 p.m., according to the NYPD who said officers from the 52nd Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding a motor vehicle collision that involved a pedestrian who had been struck at the intersection of East 198th Street and Grand Concourse.   An NYPD spokesperson said, “Upon arrival, officers observed an unidentified adult male pedestrian, unconscious and unresponsive, lying on the roadway with head trauma. Local Kids Face Off in Fun Night as part of Monthly “Mind Your Beat” Dance Battle Series
