MTA Online Portal Now Open for Public Comment on Fare and Toll Changes

UPDATE MTA, DOT Outline Bx12 Planned Service Improvements on Fordham Road & on Other Routes

Regular riders of the Bx12 bus who complain that most days the buses are crowded, and that there are not enough of them can look to the latest findings from both the Metropolitan Transportation Administration (MTA) and NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) for confirmation. Local graffiti removal group, Guerinos against Graffitti* have been thanked by their neighbors following the group’s confirmation that most of the graffiti on 204th Street between Mosholu Parkway and Valentine Avenue in Bedford Park has been recently removed. UPDATE Unionport: One-Month-Old Baby Girl Critical following Car Crash

A one-month-old baby girl is in critical condition following a motor vehicle accident in the Unionport section of The Bronx, police said.   A police spokesperson said the two-vehicle collision occurred on Tuesday, June 6, at 6.41 p.m. at Castle Hill Avenue and Bruckner Boulevard.   “The one-month-old, female child / infant was in one of the two vehicles,” the spokesperson said. “She sustained critical injuries. UPDATE Baychester: 10 Hospitalized following Motor Vehicle Collision

Officials from The Fire Department of New York said 10 people were transported to hospital following a motor vehicle collision on Monday afternoon in Baychester, south of Co-op City, and one further person was also injured but not hospitalized.   The incident was reported at 3.18 p.m. at Einstein Loop North and Hutchinson River Parkway East on Monday, May 15, and involved four separate vehicles.   An NYPD spokeswoman said an 80-year-old man was driving a jeep traveling northbound on Hutchinson River Parkway when he collided at the intersection with a yellow school bus, driven by a 72-year-old woman.

Fordham Heights: Man Exonerated after 26 Years in Case of Shooting at East 183rd Subway Station

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on Wednesday, May 10, that a Bronx judge vacated the attempted murder conviction of a Bronx man who served 26 years in prison, after investigations by her office’s Conviction Integrity Bureau, and by The Innocence Project, found that the man had been wrongfully convicted due to ineffective defense counsel.
