Norwood: Man Mugged at Knifepoint at Mosholu Parkway Subway Station

The NYPD is appealing to the public for help locating and identifying the person seen in the attached video and photo who department officials said is wanted in connection to an armed robbery and assault that occurred on the border of Norwood and Bedford Park.

DOT Launches Initiative to Reduce Package Theft & Negative Environmental Impact of Truck Deliveries

New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez announced on June 30 that the agency will launch LockerNYC, a pilot program this summer to cut down on package theft and reduce delivery truck trips. The LockerNYC pilot program, which will run for one year, will allow New Yorkers to conveniently receive and send packages using secure lockers on public sidewalks, DOT officials said.   The pilot will include 15 locations and offer customers free 24/7 access, according to DOT officials. MTA Weekend and Fourth of July Holiday Service Changes

The MTA has announced service changes for the Fourth of July holiday weekend.   The MTA has added weekend service on the , , and  lines. Starting this weekend, June 30, and every weekend going forward, average wait times for     trains will be reduced by up to 4 minutes, with  trains arriving every 8 minutes, and    trains arriving every 8-10 minutes (instead of every 10-12 minutes as before), meaning less time traveling.     Meanwhile, because of urgent track repairs,   trains aren’t running between Broad Channel and Far Rockaway all weekend, and are replaced by free shuttle buses. Kingsbridge: Tandem Trailer Stuck under Elevated Subway for Hours

  A tandem tractor-trailer recently got trapped under the elevated subway in Kingsbridge for several hours, as police and fire units blocked off traffic in the area and two dozen MTA employees attempted to free the truck with minimal damage to the subway line.   According to an unnamed MTA official, the incident took place at 10:42 a.m. on Thursday, June 22, at the intersection of Broadway and West 231st Street.
