Montefiore Einstein Medical Students Receive Free Tuition in Perpetuity

Medical students at Montefiore’s Albert Einstein College of Medicine learned on Monday morning, Feb. 26, that they will receive free tuition in perpetuity thanks to a gift from Dr. Ruth L. Gottesman, Ed.D., chair of the Einstein Board of Trustees and Montefiore Health System board member.

Soundview: Woman Arrested & Charged in 2022 Hit & Run Killing Cyclist

Police announced on Friday, Feb. 23, that a 28-year-old woman from the Unionport section of The Bronx has been arrested following a 2022 “hit & run” collision in the Soundview section of The Bronx which resulted in the death of a 21-year-old male cyclist. 

Two Brothers Charged in Car Theft Ring in The Bronx

New York Attorney General Letitia James and NYPD Commissioner Edward A. Caban announced on Dec. 28 that two brothers, Ricky Paulino, 25 and Rahinier Paulino, 30 have been charged with 16 crimes related to theft and possession of vehicles between January and October 2023. Officials from the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) said the indictment, unsealed in Bronx Supreme Court, was the result of a joint investigation by the OAG’s Organized Crime Task Force (OCTF) and the NYPD’s Auto Crime Division.
