The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) is advising motorists of alternating, overnight closures of the Exit Ramps 1D and 1C from the eastbound Alexander Hamilton Bridge (I-95) to the southbound and northbound Major Deegan Expressway (I-87) in the Bronx, on or about Monday night, Sept. 20, through approximately Wednesday morning, Sept. 22, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly, weather permitting. Only one ramp will be closed at a time. The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual seen in the attached video who is wanted for questioning regarding an alleged assault that occurred in the 52nd precinct. New York City’s Emergency Management Department provided the following update on Thursday evening, Sept. 2. on its recovery efforts following Tropical Storm Ida’s arrival in New York City. NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) Commissioner Hank Gutman is calling for the expanded use of cameras in school zones, following two fatal crashes which occurred over the weekend, one on East Fordham Road in the Bronx and one in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn. New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) announced Thursday, Aug. 12, the official launch of the city’s e-scooter pilot program in the East Bronx. A 29-year-old male motorcyclist has died following a two-vehicle motor collision in the vicinity of Kingsbridge Heights. On Thursday, Aug. 5, at around 11.13 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a crash near the corner of West 229th Street and Bailey Avenue (in the vicinity of 2860 Bailey Avenue), in the 50th precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed the 29-year-old motorcyclist lying on the roadway with head and body trauma.
