Montefiore Earns Perfect Score as LGBTQ+ Healthcare Leader Again

Among a record number of healthcare entities which participated in the compilation of the 15th Human Rights Campaign health equality index (HEI), Montefiore Health System scored a perfect 100, and earned the designation of “LGBTQ+ healthcare equality leader.”   The HEI serves as the gold standard in benchmarking healthcare institutions on policies and practices dedicated to the equitable treatment and inclusion of their LGBTQ+ patients, visitors, and employees. Montefiore has received this top designation now for eight years in a row.   The 2022 HEI scorecard evaluated healthcare institutions on criteria related to four key areas, and Montefiore received the top score in each one:

Kennedy Bridge Manhattan span is scheduled for the early hours of Friday, May. 6, according to the MTA.   Intermittent Closures Planned for Both Directions Intermittent, full closures at the Robert F. Laconia: 51-Year-Old Female Pedestrian Dies following Daylight Collision

A 51-year-old woman died from her injuries after she was hit by a car while crossing the street in the Laconia section of the East Bronx following a daylight road incident involving one vehicle.   On Thursday, April 28, at approximately 12.31 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a pedestrian who had been hit at the intersection of Burke Avenue and Bouck Avenue in Laconia.
