UPDATE NWS Issues Thunderstorm & Flood Warning for Monday, July 18 until 6 p.m.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a severe thunderstorm warning for July 18 until 3.30 p.m. for The Bronx, Queens, Manhattan Southeastern Bergen and Southern Westchester and a severe flash flood warning until 6 p.m.   The thunderstorm was located over Riverdale / Norwood in The Bronx around 3.05 p.m. and moved east at 30 mph. Woodlawn Heights: Man Suffers Severe Head Trauma Injury following Road Accident

A man has been hospitalized with severe head trauma following a road accident in Woodlawn Heights.   On Sunday, July 3, at approximately 1.08 p.m., police responded to a road accident in the vicinity of East 233rd Street and Webster Avenue, located in the 47th Precinct.   Police officials said, “A preliminary investigation determined that a 51-year-old male operating a 2012 Honda Civic was travelling westbound on East 233 Street, approaching the intersection of Webster Avenue, when he suffered an unknown medical episode causing him to lose control of his vehicle.”   The officials added, “The vehicle crossed over the

West Farms: Woman Dies following Hit & Run Incident

A woman estimated to be in her thirties has died following a hit and run incident in West Farms.   NYPD officials said that on Friday, July 1, at around 10.18 p.m., police officers responded to a 911 call regarding a pedestrian who had been hit by a vehicle in front of 1922 West Farms Road, located in the 48th Precinct.   “Upon arrival, officers discovered a unidentified female victim in her approximate 30s, unconscious and unresponsive, lying in the roadway with severe body trauma,” a police spokesperson said. “EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to Saint
