Despite the few accomplishments that we had, 2022 was filled with disappointments, empty promises, and uncertainty. Mt. Hope: Man Sought in Hit & Run Incident which left Woman, 43, with “Serious Physical Injuries”

Fordham Manor/University Heights: Turning Trailer Destroys Street Sign in Bollard Crash

As the year draws to a close, we are continuing to publish some of the stories we couldn’t get to earlier this year [due to staff shortages].    An 18-wheel tractor-trailer knocked over a street sign on the border of Fordham Manor and University Heights after its rear wheels got caught on a relatively new pair of street bollards, two-foot-high plastic barricades designed to protect pedestrians on a traffic island and slow down city traffic. UPDATE NWS: Coastal Flood Warning & Wind Advisory in Effect until Friday, Dec. 23, at 1 p.m. and 10 p.m.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a coastal flood warning which is in effect until Friday, Dec. 23 at 1 p.m., and a wind advisory which is in effect until 10 p.m. on Friday.   Officials said two to three feet of flooding above ground level is expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline in The Bronx, Northwest Suffolk, Northern Queens and Northern Nassau counties from 8 a.m. on Friday.   As reported, a severe weather warning was issued by NWS, starting on Thursday, Dec. 22, when officials said there had been no changes to the hazards,

Belmont: Two Girls, 11, Hospitalized after Hit & Run Collision by Driver of Black SUV

Norwood: Car Crashes into Williamsbridge Oval Wall at Reservoir Oval West and Wayne Avenue

Mt. Hope: Man Sought following Car Theft & Hit & Run Incident

  The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photos who is sought for questioning in connection to a robbery and hit & run incident that occurred in the Mt.
