Street Closures & Transportation Updates through 2026 for The Bronx & the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) and the NYPD have advised of the following street and bridge closures in The Bronx through 2024, and for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in Manhattan.   Bronx/Manhattan Bridge Closures Madison Avenue Bridge over Harlem River Nov. 18-30, 2022  Single-lane traffic in both directions will be closed Monday to Friday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and Saturdays from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. The bridge will be fully closed Monday to Friday from 12:01 a.m. to 5 a.m. Bronx-bound traffic will be closed Saturday from 12:01 a.m. to 6 a.m. and Manhattan-bound

Male Pedestrian Struck by Car Dies in Bronx River Parkway Road Collision

A man has died following a road accident on Bronx River Parkway, police said.   An NYPD spokesperson said the incident occurred on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at around 10.24 p.m. when officers from the 52nd precinct responded to a 911 call regarding a motor vehicle collision. Van Cortlandt Park: Motor Vehicle Crash Causes Car to Overturn, Occupants Free Themselves

A motor vehicle accident was reported on the southbound lanes of the Major Deegan Expressway, approaching Van Cortlandt Park South, on Tuesday, Oct. 25, at around 1:38 p.m. All lanes were cleared as of 2:23 p.m. according to New York State officials.   Norwood News contacted the FDNY to obtain further details on any reported injuries.
