West Farms: Man, 35, Arrested for Hit & Run that Killed 26-Year-Old Woman

Jose Gonzalez Found Guilty of Killing EMT Yadira Arroyo

Fordham Heights resident, Jose Gonzalez, was found guilty by a jury on Wednesday, March 8, of the murder of FDNY Emergency Medical Technician, Yadira Arroyo, who he ran over with her ambulance nearly six years ago, according to the Office of the Bronx District Attorney. UPDATE DSNY Issues ‘Snow Alert’ for Monday, February 27, from 4 p.m.

New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY) has issued a snow alert for Monday, Feb. 27, from 4 p.m. The alert is in effect through 9 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28. A snow alert is the department’s “higher-level” winter weather message, as opposed to the “lower-level” winter operations advisory.   Based on current forecasts, 2 to 5 inches of slush or wet snow is possible, according to department officials. City Hall has convened a Task Force with relevant City agencies to address overnight truck parking in NYC and to assess potential solutions.
