The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch on Saturday, Aug. 12, which remains in effect until midnight in ten counties in Southeast New York: Bronx, Brooklyn, Nassau, Manhattan, Orange, Putnam, Queens, Staten Island, Rockland and Westchester.

NYPD officials are asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached video and photo who they say is sought in connection with an assault and auto theft that occurred in Eastchester.

EMS Issues Flood Warning for Saturday, July 15

The New York City Emergency Management Department (EMS) issued a travel advisory on Saturday, July 15, for Sunday, July 16. According to the National Weather Service, New York City may experience showers and thunderstorms starting late Saturday night and continuing until Sunday evening, with most showers occurring Sunday afternoon into the evening.
