Norwood: Man, 61, Kicked, Robbed inside Building

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photos and video who they say is wanted in connection to a robbery that occurred inside 250 East Gun Hill Road in Norwood. 

Hochul Grants Clemency to Thirteen People

Gov. Kathy Hochul granted clemency on Sept. 8 to 13 people across the State. Government officials said the action, including ten pardons and three commutations, recognizes individuals demonstrating remorse, exemplifying rehabilitation, and displaying a commitment to improving themselves and their communities. They added that the action represents what they said was the governor’s continued fulfillment of her commitment to review and act on clemency applications on a rolling basis, rather than only once at the end of the year.

There are presently 426,000 New Yorkers diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. That number may be higher as there may be others who have yet to be diagnosed or experiencing early-stage symptoms that may yet to be realized. 

UPDATE NYC EMS & Department of Health Issue Advisory to New Yorkers on How to Beat the Heat

NYC Emergency Management Department (EMS) and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOH) are advising New Yorkers to take precautions to beat the heat following a heat advisory by the National Weather Service (NWS), from 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5, until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7. Hot and humid conditions are in the forecast from Tuesday to Thursday, with heat index values in the upper 90s across the City, according to NWS.
