UPDATE Freeze Warning & Travel Advisory in Effect

The National Weather Service issued a freeze warning on Monday afternoon, Nov. 20, which is in effect until Tuesday, Nov. 21, at 8 a.m. with sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30 degrees expected in The Bronx, New Jersey, Hudson County, Manhattan, Staten Island and southern Nassau counties.

UPDATE Norwood Mourns Beloved Resident & Community Activist Lyn Pyle

The local community is mourning the recent death of Norwood resident and community activist Lyn Pyle who died last month at the age of 83. Pyle was a Norwood resident and “Knox Place Legend” according to a flier posted ahead of a memorial service held in her honor on Sunday, Oct. 29, at the COVE, located 3418 Gates Place. 

Kingsbridge Heights: Elected Officials Show Up for Senior Night

Assembly Member George Alvarez (A.D. 78) and Rep. Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) held a Senior Night to celebrate local seniors at Caridad Kingsbridge, located at 135 West Kingsbridge Road in Kingsbridge Heights on Thursday, Oct. 26, from 5 to 9 p.m.
