Group of Elected Officials Visit Rikers Island, Alleging Hochul is “Pushing to Roll Back Bail Reform”

  A group of eight State lawmakers held a press conference at the entrance to Rikers Island jail on Thursday, April 6, amid, they said, reports of “continued unsafe and inhumane conditions,” at the jail. The visit was scheduled as legislators awaited updates from three-way budget negotiations, and in the context of those negotiations, they allege Gov. UPDATE Indian Village: Arrest Made in Sexual Assault & Robbery of Woman, 73, in Home

UPDATE DOT Updates CB7 on Gun Hill Road Bus Project

CM Amanda Farías Allocates $25,000 to Jacobi Medical Center’s Stand Up to Violence Program

District 18 City Council Member Amanda Farías presented a check of $25,000 to support Jacobi’s Stand Up to Violence (SUV) program in early February. The SUV program is the first hospital-run, cure violence-based program in the nation. Fordham Manor: 70-Year-Old Woman Robbed & Elbowed in Face
