Riverdale: Man Arrested following Road Accident which Killed 99-Year-Old Female Pedestrian

A 54-year-old Riverdale man has been arrested following the death last year of a 99-year-old female pedestrian, also from Riverdale.   As previously reported, the 99-year-old died after she was struck by an SUV while attempting to cross an intersection in southeast Riverdale, just west of the Kingsbridge border, on July 27, at around 8.30 a.m.   Police said officers were flagged down regarding a pedestrian who had been struck at Oxford Street and West 235th Street on the day of the incident. UPDATE Woman Hospitalized after Fordham Heights Fire that Petrified Small Dog

Fire department officials said one elderly female resident was hospitalized following an “all hands” fire at 2364 Tiebout Avenue in Fordham Heights on Tuesday, March 28.
