Woodlawn Heights: Two Teens Injured in FDNY-Involved Crash

Norwood: Two Sought for Beating & Slashing Man by Woodlawn Subway Station

New York City Beaches Reopen for Summer 2023

NYC Parks Commissioner Sue Donoghue announced earlier this week that the City’s eight public beaches are open for swimming effective Saturday, May 27, and will remain open through Sunday, Sept. 10. Group Sought in Robbery Pattern Traced Across The Bronx & Manhattan

Bedford Park: FDNY Says Afternoon Fire Results in No Injuries

A 2-alarm fire in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx on Thursday resulted in no injuries, FDNY officials said.   The blaze broke out on the 1st floor of a residential building at 5 Minerva Place by Jerome Avenue and Creston Avenue, FDNY officials said, adding that they were alerted to the incident at 1.25 p.m. on Thursday, May 25. An FDNY spokesperson said 25 units, comprising 106 firefighters responded to the scene at the 6-story building and the blaze was placed under control at 2.54 p.m. The spokesperson added that the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Fordham Manor: Search for Missing 70-Year-Old Woman

The NYPD is seeking the public’s help locating Leone Ultan, 70, who was reported missing from Fordham Manor on Wednesday, May 24.  Police said that Ultan of 2550 Webb Avenue was last seen leaving her home on Thursday, May 4, at around 7.25 p.m. She was described by police as female, has a light complexion and white hair, is around 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs around 105 pounds. Montefiore Einstein Give Out Free New Bikes to P.S. 199 Students during National Bike Safety Month

Twenty-eight students from P.S. 199, The Shakespeare School, were the lucky recipients of new bikes last week thanks to the Montefiore School Health Program and the Montefiore Einstein Center for Performance Improvement.   The bikes were presented to the students at their school, located at 1449 Shakespeare Avenue in the Mt.
