NYC Emergency Management Advises New Yorkers to Prepare for Severe Thunderstorm on June 26  

New York City Emergency Management Department (EMS) issued a travel advisory for Monday afternoon, June 26, through Tuesday, June 27. EMS officials said according to the National Weather Service, New York City may experience scattered showers with the potential for severe thunderstorms starting late afternoon through the evening.   They said the severe thunderstorms may affect the evening’s commute, with rain expected to continue into Tuesday morning. Bedford Park: Search for One after Attempted Robbery in Transit

The NYPD is asking the public for help identifying the person seen in the attached photo who department officials say is sought in connection with an attempted robbery that occurred in transit on a northbound 4 train.   Police said that on Thursday, June 22, at around 6.15 a.m., a 27-year-old male victim was on a moving northbound 4 train when he was approached by another passenger who snatched his cellphone. The NYPD is appealing to the public for help locating a missing 70-year-old man from Fordham Manor.   Police said that the Billy Gore of 2545 University Avenue was last seen on Sunday, June 25, at around 6.24 p.m., leaving his home located at 2545 University Avenue. FDNY: Stove Fire at Tracey Towers Results in No Injuries

  A fire at Tracey Towers housing complex, located on the Norwood-Bedford Park border, on Saturday resulted in no injuries the FDNY said. An FDNY spokesperson said the department was alerted to reports of a fire at the 871-unit complex, located at 40 West Mosholu Parkway South, at around 5.10 p.m. on Saturday, June 24. Rikers Island Inmates Charged with Assault for Vicious Beating of Fellow Detainee
