Veterans make up one of our most vital demographics within our neighborhoods near and far. Some are open to sharing and disclosing their levels of service while others shy away from the subject. The people we interact with daily, like the police officer, the truck driver, the florist, the construction worker, or even the neighbors on our block may have served our country, and we may not even know it. Simply put, Veteran issues matter…or do they?

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached media who they say is wanted in connection to a burglary pattern that has been identified across the boundaries of the 50th Precinct, which covers some or all of the neighborhoods of Riverdale, Fieldston, Kingsbridge, Marble Hill, and Spuyten Duyvil.

Grace Rosa Baez, a former Bronx NYPD police officer, pled guilty in Manhattan federal court on Tuesday, April 16, to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute heroin, fentanyl, and para-fluorofentanyl, before U.S. District Judge Denise L. Cote, federal prosecutors said.
