UPDATE NWS: Coastal Flood Warning & Wind Advisory in Effect until Friday, Dec. 23, at 1 p.m. and 10 p.m.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a coastal flood warning which is in effect until Friday, Dec. 23 at 1 p.m., and a wind advisory which is in effect until 10 p.m. on Friday.   Officials said two to three feet of flooding above ground level is expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline in The Bronx, Northwest Suffolk, Northern Queens and Northern Nassau counties from 8 a.m. on Friday.   As reported, a severe weather warning was issued by NWS, starting on Thursday, Dec. 22, when officials said there had been no changes to the hazards,

Fordham Manor: Shelter Resident Says Dead Man Removed from Shelter Had Complained of Chest Pains

A resident of a transitional shelter and supportive housing facility located in the Fordham Manor section of The Bronx said a deceased 62-year-old man, who died from a heart attack at the shelter on Dec. 10 and was later removed by emergency services, had earlier reported to staff of chest pains. Kingsbridge Heights: Search for Armed Gunman in Store Robbery

UPDATE Fordham Manor: Man, 26, Fatally Shot at 2650 Briggs Avenue

The NYPD said a man was fatally shot in the Fordham Manor section of The Bronx on Sunday morning.
