Norwood: Arrest Made in Early Morning Shooting of Man, 31, on East 204th Street

UPDATE Parents of Child Found Alone in the Soundview section of The Bronx Located

The NYPD confirmed on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 1, that the parents of an unidentified girl found alone on Dec. 31, in the Soundview section of The Bronx have been located and an investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.     Earlier on Sunday, police had been appealing to the public for help identifying the young girl, pictured in the attached photo, and locating her parents or guardians.    According to the NYPD, on Dec. 31, at 6:25 p.m. in front of 1208 Leland Ave in Soundview, the unidentified child had been observed walking alone and was removed to NYC Health

NYC H+H Welcomes First Baby of 2023 at South Brooklyn Health, followed by More Bronx Babies

The City’s public health system’s first baby of 2023 was welcomed at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health at the stroke of midnight on Jan. 1, 2023. Body of Missing DeWitt Clinton Employee Found on Hunter Island

Police continue to investigate the disappearance and now mysterious death of New Rochelle resident and longtime DeWitt Clinton High School employee, Christopher Corcoran, 61, whose body was discovered in the woods on Hunter Island, just North of Orchard Beach, on Monday, Dec. 26.   As reported, according to New Rochelle police, multiple law enforcement agencies had been looking for the employee of DeWitt Clinton High School, located in the Jerome Park section of The Bronx. who had disappeared without a trace nearly one month ago.   Clinton faculty and students were notified of Corcoran’s passing on the school’s Instagram page

Fordham Manor/University Heights: Turning Trailer Destroys Street Sign in Bollard Crash

The NYPD is seeking the public’s help locating a 16-year-old girl reported missing in Wakefield. It was reported to police that Saniyah Roberts of 4426 Edson Avenue, Bronx, NY was last seen on Friday, Dec. 23, at around 7 a.m., leaving her home. Amid Winter Storm, ACS Says Infants Should Never Sleep With Blankets or in Adult Beds

Amid the winter storm, the NYC Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) is reminding parents and caregivers with infants about the ways to keep their children safe while sleeping. Officials said there is serious danger associated with babies less than a year-old sleeping with parents in adult beds, or sleeping with blankets or quilts, which can create a risk of suffocation.
