NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez announced the launch of the 2023 Open Streets program on Saturday, April 22, coinciding the program’s 2023 launch with DOT’s Car-Free Earth Day. Norwood: Old School Fun at Annual Easter Egg Hunt in The Williamsbridge Oval

Over 1,000 Bronx kids and their parents gathered in the Williamsbridge Oval park in Norwood for the annual spring Easter egg hunt, organized by NYC Parks’ Department on Saturday, April 8.   The event comprised all types of games, arts & crafts, and fun activities for children of all ages, including traditional Easter egg hunts and “old school” potato sack races. Manhattan Man Charged with Murder of Man & Woman Shot and Left in Burning Car

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. “Buckets for the Bronx: 3v3 Tourney” Held at Lehman College

A free 3v3 basketball tournament: Buckets for the Bronx: 3v3 Community Classic for Bronx teens was held at the Apex Center at Lehman College on Saturday, Feb. 25. The event was organized by local community members, Jessica Altagracia Woolford, founder of Kingsbridge Unidos, and Haramritjot Singh, founder of Cash Cow NYC.   The tournament was open to local high school students aged 14-18 of all genders. District 11 City Council Member Eric Dinowitz, in partnership with BetaNYC, has launched a new mapping tool which shows the level of playground accessibility for residents near their homes and schools.
