Council Member Eric Dinowitz Holds Landmark 80th Anniversary Holocaust Remembrance Event
To mark the solemn occasion of the 80th anniversary of the liberation by the Allied Forces of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the Nazi concentration and extermination camp where millions of Jewish people were killed and detained during World War II, New York City Council held a Holocaust Remembrance Event on Jan. 29, at City Hall.

NYC Sanitation Supervisor Charged for Filing $21,000 in Fraudulent Timesheets
Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced Wednesday, Feb. 19, that an NYC Department of Sanitation (DSNY) supervisor has been charged with grand larceny, falsifying business records, and other charges for allegedly filing time sheets amounting to over $21,000 in pay for hours he was at his Bronx home instead of working.

UPDATE Belmont: Two Arrested after 56-Year-Old Man Dies in Fatal Shooting on E 187th Street
Police said two people have been arrested on various charges in relation to the killing of a 56-year-old man in Belmont. As reported, police launched a murder investigation after the 56-year-old victim died following a fatal shooting on Monday, Feb. 17, at around 6.21 p.m. Police said officers from the 48th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding a male who had been shot in front of 717 East 187th Street.
