New York Attorney General Letitia James’ Office of Special Investigation (OSI) announced on Friday, Nov. 8, that no charges will be brought against the police officer involved in a vehicle collision which resulted in the death of a pedestrian, Sofia Gomez, who died on Oct. 8, 2020, after being hit by a police vehicle on Oct. 5, 2020.

Bronx Playwright Michi Barall to Premiere “Drawing Lessons”
Bronx playwright Michi Barall is bringing her play Drawing Lessons center stage, where she examines the challenges that youth face from the perspective of a young graphic artist. The play will run from Oct. 8 through Nov. 10 on The Children’s Theatre Company Cargill Stage in Minneapolis. Opening night took place on Oct. 12.

Wild Casino, a Carribbean-based igaming, sports, and political betting site, used trends software and the X [formerly Twitter] Application Programming Interface (API) to track social media posts of relationship break-up announcements in the wake of the 2024 presidential election results, and create the resulting map graphic based on the compiled data. They said Pennsylvania topped the country and New York came in in third place.
