UPDATE Police Commissioner Determines “No Crime” by Officers Involved in Shooting of Kawaski Trawick
Police Commissioner Edward A. Caban has determined that the two NYPD officers involved in the fatal shooting of Kawaski Trawick on April 14, 2019, inside his supportive housing apartment located at at 1616 Grand Avenue in the Morris Heights section of The Bronx, acted within the law in relation to their actions leading up to what was described by police as “the 32-year-old man’s tragic death.”

UPDATE Woodlawn: Bob Nolan Honored by BP at Irish Heritage Month Celebration
Former City official and aide to four former Bronx borough presidents, Robert “Bob” Francis Nolan, who died on Dec. 15, 2023 at the age of 70, as reported, was honored with a posthumous award in the presence of his family during an Irish Heritage Month celebration hosted by the Office of the Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson on March 27.
UPDATE Mt Hope: Mom of 5-Year-Old Twins Found Smothered inside East 175th Street Building Arrested & Charged
Police have arrested the 42-year-old mother of the 5-year-old twins who were found deceased inside their home in the Mt. Hope section of the Bronx in December 2023 and the Bronx District Attorney’s office has charged her in connection with their deaths. Police said on March 15 that the twins’ deaths had been ruled a [double] homicide and the cause was found to be asphyxiation.
