The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) recently opened the first hospital-based, outpatient physical and occupational therapy gym in the Bronx for children aged 3 to 11. The new space will accommodate up to 9,000 patient visits per year and will serve children with a range of rehabilitation needs, including physical therapy after orthopedic injuries, and occupational therapy for children with complex medical conditions.

Update Olinville: NYPD Removes Snake found in Shopping Bag

There were no injuries reported on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 28, after police removed a snake from a shopping bag in the Olinville section of The Bronx. An NYPD spokesperson said that police received a call on Saturday at around 2.09 p.m. for a report of a Honduran milk snake in the vicinity of 212th Street and White Plains Road. Police said officers found the snake inside a shopping cart and proceeded to remove it. Asked if they had any idea how the snake got there, they said they did not.
