Chabad Synagogues and Centers of Westchester County are coming together to welcome families of all backgrounds and faiths to the Jewish Family Festival, an event celebrating Jewish life in the leadup to Passover. The event takes place at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, at Ridge Hill on the South Lawn in Yonkers, New York and is free of charge. The project, dubbed “Jewish Family Festival,” is a joint project of the combined Chabad centers of Westchester and the Bronx, a group of organizations that empower Jews of all walks of life to come together to celebrate their heritage.

Applications for the fourth annual Oyate Group Brandon Hendricks Scholarship have officially opened, with an award of $20,000 going to each of two applicants for the first time in the scholarship’s history, organizers announced on March 2. Previously, as reported, the organization offered $5,000 in total in scholarship funds.
