A 35-year-old man from North Riverdale has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident in which a woman died, police confirmed on Sunday.   On Saturday, Nov. 27, at 5.03 p.m., an off-duty New York City employee was arrested and charged in the 50th precinct with regarding a hit and run incident that occurred in August. Nine Firefighters Injured in One Bronx Fire as Vaccine Mandate Deadline Strikes at the FDNY

  Eleven people, including nine firefighters, suffered minor injuries arising from a two-alarm fire on the Grand Concourse at East Kingsbridge Road in Fordham Manor, less than 24 hours after a COVID-19 vaccine mandate deadline for most City employees took effect. Woman Injured in 4-Car Crash in Norwood

At least one woman was injured, and four cars were damaged when the axle on one car detached, causing the car to smash into three other vehicles in the Norwood section of the Bronx.   An axle on a vehicle is a rod or shaft that rotates the wheels and supports the car’s weight. Republican mayoral candidate, Curtis Sliwa, was struck by a yellow cab on Friday, Oct. 29 in Manhattan, while rushing to a live radio show at WABC, according to sources from his campaign.   Sliwa went ahead and completed his hour-long scheduled show interview. The FDNY responded to a fire inside a 5-story building on Briggs Avenue in Bedford Park.
