Morris Heights: Section of Masonry Wall Falls Off at 200 West Tremont Avenue

Norwood News received a confirmed report of falling bricks at 200 West Tremont Avenue in the Morris Heights section of The Bronx on Tuesday, located south of Bronx Community College and the University Heights border.   We reached out to New York City Department of Buildings for more information. UPDATE School Bus Crash Reported on Cross Bronx Expressway

State emergency officials reported that a motor vehicle collision, involving a school bus occurred on the Cross Bronx Expressway on Tuesday evening.   Officials said the collision took place on Feb. 1, at 4.27 p.m. on the northbound lanes of the Cross Bronx Expressway, approaching Jerome Avenue.   Norwood News reached out to the NYPD and an agency official said there was a report about a collision involving a trailer but he could not provide much further detail at the time. Lehman Mourns Student & Twin Parks Fire Victim, Sera Janneh

  Lehman College student, Sera Janneh, 27, was among the 17 victims of the Twin Parks North West residential building fire which broke out on Sunday, Jan. 9, in the Fordham Heights section of the Bronx. Janneh was a sophomore at Lehman and was majoring in psychology and minoring in early childhood education.   As reported by The New York Post, Janneh’s father, Tijan Janneh, said his daughter got separated from the family, during the fire, as they tried to escape the burning building. Kingsbridge Area: Fatal Sanitation Plow Truck Collision

  The NYPD has confirmed that a 41-year-old Bronx man has died following a car accident in the Kingsbridge area. Allerton: Two-Car Crash Involving One Stolen Vehicle Sends Both Drivers to Jail
