UPDATE Morris Heights: 60-Year-Old Man Hit by Car While Crossing the Street in Fatal Accident

Police confirmed a 60-year-old man died after being hit by a car in the Morris Heights section of The Bronx as he was attempting to cross the street. Another man has since been taken into custody in relation to the incident.   On Sunday, Feb. 13, at approximately 6.59 p.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle collision at 1657 Jerome Avenue.  Upon arrival, officers observed a 60-year-old man, unconscious and unresponsive, with trauma to the head and body.   EMS responded and pronounced the man deceased at the scene. UPDATE Bronx Park: Man Dies following Car Accident

  A 50-year-old man has died following a car accident in the vicinity of Bronx Park.   Police said on Sunday, Feb. 6, at approximately 5.13 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call regarding a vehicle collision on the southbound Bronx River Parkway at East Fordham Road. Lehman Mourns Student & Twin Parks Fire Victim, Sera Janneh

  Lehman College student, Sera Janneh, 27, was among the 17 victims of the Twin Parks North West residential building fire which broke out on Sunday, Jan. 9, in the Fordham Heights section of the Bronx. Janneh was a sophomore at Lehman and was majoring in psychology and minoring in early childhood education.   As reported by The New York Post, Janneh’s father, Tijan Janneh, said his daughter got separated from the family, during the fire, as they tried to escape the burning building.
