Fire marshals confirmed the cause of the 4-alarm fire which broke out at 2230 Grand Concourse on Sunday, Jan. 9. As reported, the fire took place in the Fordham Heights section of The Bronx on the same day as the separate Twin Parks fire tragedy, among some other fires which also occurred in the borough on the same day. Police confirm a 16-year-old girl has died following a road accident in Morris Park. According to the NYPD, on Wednesday, May 4, at around 8.22 a.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a pedestrian who had been knocked down at 1027 Neill Avenue. Upon arrival, officers observed an unconscious and unresponsive 16-year-old girl with trauma about the body. A 51-year-old woman died from her injuries after she was hit by a car while crossing the street in the Laconia section of the East Bronx following a daylight road incident involving one vehicle.
