UPDATE Elections 2022: Nov. 8 Unofficial Results & Reaction to Statewide and North Bronx Races

After the polls closed on Tuesday, Nov. 8, the New York City Board of Elections released the initial, unofficial results of the general elections, based on a percentage of returned poll site scanners. These initial results cover both early votes and election day votes. Male Pedestrian Struck by Car Dies in Bronx River Parkway Road Collision

A man has died following a road accident on Bronx River Parkway, police said.   An NYPD spokesperson said the incident occurred on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at around 10.24 p.m. when officers from the 52nd precinct responded to a 911 call regarding a motor vehicle collision. UPDATE Unionport: Tragic Fatal Fire Claims the Lives of Four People, including Two Children & One Infant

A fatal fire in the Unionport section of the southeast Bronx has claimed the lives of four people, including three children, police said.   An NYPD spokesperson said the department was advised of the incident on Sunday, Oct. 30, at around 6.03 a.m. Officers from the 43rd Precinct responded to a call regarding a residential fire inside 2165 Quimby Avenue. Van Cortlandt Park: Motor Vehicle Crash Causes Car to Overturn, Occupants Free Themselves

FDNY: Area Secured following Woodlawn Heights Fire on Transformer Pole

An apparent, outdoor electrical fire broke out on Monday evening, Oct. 24, in the Woodlawn Heights section of The Bronx.   The FDNY said the incident has since been closed out and the cause is being investigated. Olinville: 60-Year-Old Pedestrian Critical following Road Accident
